I wrote this for the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority in 2012. I was part of a much larger discussion on multifunctional windbreaks and my intent was to highlight that a barrier to spray drift is not necessarily the same barrier for snow drift, wind, privacy, dust, etc.
