About Melanie Filotas
Melanie has been a Horticulture Integrated Pest Management Specialist with OMAFRA since 2006. She has a BSc in Environmental Science (Carleton University) and a PhD in Entomology (Cornell University). Melanie’s focus is the identification of pests and pest management solutions for Ontario specialty crops, including hazelnuts, hops, sweet potatoes and specialty berries. She spends her spare time chauffeuring her kids to way too many activities.
