Mark is a spray technology evangelist, machinery designer and field scientist with a passion for helping find effective and practical application solutions. He is a serial entrepreneur with over twenty five years of experience designing and optimizing fluid metering and spray application systems. He has served as chair of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Application Systems Committee, sits on 4 international Standards Organization (ISO) Spray Application Systems Technical Committee working groups, sits on the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Pesticide Systems (E35) committee, is a member of American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE), and the Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA). Perhaps his finest work (other than his garden), was co-authoring Airblast 101, Guide to Effective and Efficient Spraying, the definitive users manual for operation of airblast sprayers, in 2020 with Dr. Jason Deveau. He’s also known to make some pretty fine sausage and a mean Thai stir-fry.
